Box has some edge wear and corner marks. Spine has a bit of wear as well. OBI is not present. Book and foam insert are included.

Other condition notes:

Copy from a California, smoke free home. Box set always stored inside a temperature controlled home inside a plastic protector sleeve. Sleeve removed to take photographs.

Features:

• CLV 1994 pressing of the 1984 film
• The 1984 movie version (137min.) as well as the 1988 P&S TV cut (189min.) as broadcast on NBC.

• Lovely box set that contains both David Lynch's theatrical cut of the science fiction epic, and the later TV expansion assembled without his approval (credited to Alan Smithee).

• Theatrical cut is letterboxed with a picture transfer that is dated by current standards, but for many years was the only way to see the movie in widescreen. TV version is panned & scanned (does not exist in any other format) with subtitles in the picture.

• The box holds the theatrical cut in its own gatefold jacket, and the TV cut in two standard jackets. Also includes a booklet with a chapter listing and text about the movie (in Japanese).

• Note: in the additional scenes, the Fremen do not have blue eyes after the spice made him evolve. The artifical effect was not applied on cut scenes!
• Spoken English- Subtitles in Japanese (out of picture)

• The only video supplement is the film's theatrical trailer.

Due to the large volume of inventory I have, I am not able to test every disc. All items are untested unless stated otherwise. Because all items are vintage new old stock or used/secondhand, there are no returns. However if the disc has laser rot or your order arrived damaged, please contact me for store credit. If you are unhappy with your order for any other reason, please send me an email describing the issue and we can work something out!

All discs/covers are graded along the same lines as the Goldmine Record Grading Scale

Tested discs with any signs of laser rot will be graded along the LDDB laser rot scale:

• 1/5 - Light rot: a few speckles, hard to notice, might be a scratched master
• 2/5 - Medium rot: still can be watched but speckles are becoming distracting
• 3/5 - Heavy rot: multicolored snow all over the screen
• 4/5 - Critical rot: analog sound is distorted, digital sound clicks and pops
• 5/5 - Death: disc cannot be played anymore
